The U.S. Marine Corps won all three of its dual meets to win the team title at the 2001 Armed Forces freestyle Championships in Ft. Hood, Texas, March 11.     They tallied scores of 17-16 over the Air Force, 23-11 over Navy and 17-16 over the Army to win the team title. The Marine Corps also won the 2001 Greco-Roman Championships on March 10 to give them the overall 2001 Armed Forces Championships title.    There were five wrestlers who claimed both Greco-Roman and freestyle individual titles. For the Marine Corps: Duaine Martin (Quantico, Va.) at 127.75 pounds and James Shillow (Quantico, Va.) at 138.75 pounds. For the Air Force: Jeff Cervone (Colorado Springs, Colo.) at 119 pounds and Corey Farkas (Colorado Springs, Colo.) at 286 pounds. Dominic Black (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was the lone double champion for the Army at 213.75 pounds.     The team title came down to the last dual meet between the Marine Corps and the Army. At heavyweight, David Workman of the Marine Corps had to pin Patrick Schuster of the Army for them to win. Workman got Schuster in a headlock and pinned him in thirty three seconds.    The Army came in second with a 2-1 team record followed by Air Force with a 1-2 record and the Navy with an 0-3 record.     The U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force teams are stationed in Colorado Springs, Colo., while the U.S. Marine corps team is stationed in Quantico, Va. and the U.S. Navy team is stationed in Pensacola, Fla.     The U.S. Army won both the freestyle and Greco-Roman competitions at the 2000 Armed Forces Championships.
