This week's edition of "On the Mat" will feature Gary Barta and Mike Finn.

Barta is in his second year as Athletic Director at the University of Iowa. He became the University's 11th Director of Intercollegiate Athletics on August 1, 2006. He succeeded Bob Bowlsby, who left after 15 years at Iowa to take over the program at Stanford.

From 1990 to 1996, Barta was the Director of Athletic Development and External Relations at the University of Northern Iowa. 

Finn is currently the editor of Wrestling Illustrated Newsmagazine, a position he has held for over four years. Considered one the nation's top wrestling journalists, Finn was named the National Wrestling Media Association's Print Journalist of the Year earlier this year. He also co-authored the book "Hawkeye Legends, Lists and Lore."

"On the Mat" is a weekly wrestling radio program that airs every Wednesday night. This week's broadcast can be heard live from 6-7 p.m. Central Standard Time. The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in Waterloo, Iowa, hosts the show.
