Bronze Medal Match: Otar Tushishvili (Georgia) dec. Schwab, 4-1, 1-0
First Period
Tushishvili scores one-point on a double leg at :32 and follows with a two-point turn and one-point hold at :56 to take a 4-0 lead.  Schwab scores one-point when Tushishvili steps out of bounds at 1:59.

Second Period
Tushishvili scores a one-point double leg at 1:25.

1st Repechage Match: Schwab dec. Buyanjav Batzorig (Mongolia), 3-2, 1-0
First Period
Batzorig scores one-point when he attacks Schwab's legs and drives him out of bounds at :18.  Batzorig scores another point on a double leg at :24.  Schwab scores one-point on a high crotch at 1:25 and follows with a two-point leg lace at 1:38.  Schwab wins the period 3-2.

Second Period
No scoring in the first two minutes.  Schwab wins the coin flip and scores from the clinch to win the period and the match.

Quarterfinals: Geandry Garzon (Cuba) dec. Schwab, 2-0, 4-1
First Period
Garzon scores one-point on a knee pick at :54.  At 1:14, Garzon scores one-point on a go-behind.

Second Period
Garzon scores a one-point takedown at :12.  Garzon scores one-point when Schwab steps out of bounds at :32.  Garzon scores one-point on a high crotch at :59 after defending Schwab's leg attack.  Garzon scores one-point on a knee pick at 1:34.  Schwab scores one-point on a go-behind at 1:57.

Second Round: Schwab dec. Pedro Soto Cordero (Puerto Rico), 1-0, 1-0
First Period
Schwab scores one-point on an outside single from a front head at 1:05.

Second Period
Schwab scores a one-point point takedown at 1:14.  Cordero was walking in on Schwab when Schwab popped his arms and hit him with a double and dumped him to his stomach.

First Round: Schwab dec. Gentian Balashi (Australia), 4-0, 7-0
First Period
Schwab scores a takedown with exposure for two-points at 1:14 and follows with a two-point gut wrench at 1:24 to win the period 4-0.

Second Period
Schwab drives Balashi out of bounds for one-point at :06.  Schwab scores one-point off of a double to a duck under at :33 and follows with a two-point gut wrench at :42.  Schwab scores a one-point high crotch at 1:07 and finishes the match and the period with a two-point high crotch with exposure from the mat.


74 kg/163 lbs. - Joe Heskett (Columbus, Ohio/Gator WC)
Bronze Medal Match: C. Chamsulvarayev (Azerbaijan) dec. Heskett, 1-0, 3-1
First Period
Chamsulvarayev scores a one-point takedown at about 1:50 to win the period 1-0.

Second Period
:22 Chamsulvarayev scores a one-point takedown at :22.  Chamsulvarayev scores a one-point takedown at :50 to take a 2-0 lead.  Heskett shoots a single leg and gets countered for a one-point takedown at 1:30.  Heskett scores a single leg takedown at 1:51.  Chamsulvarayev wins the period 3-1.

Semifinals: Mahach Murtazaliev (Russia) dec. Heskett, 1-3, 1-0, 3-1
First Period
Heskett scores three-points on a double leg at :52.  Heskett shot a low single and switched off to a double during a short scramble for position and ended up planting Murtazaliev on his back out of bounds.  Murtazaliev shoots a double leg, lifts Heskett off of the mat, and attempts to flip him over his back.  Heskett avoids exposing his back and gives up the one-point takedown at 1:20.  The period ends with Heskett winning 3-1.

Second Period
Murtazaliev scores the only point of the period at 1:00.

Third Period
Murtazaliev scores one-point on a single leg at :42.  Heskett ties the score at one on a low single at 1:10.  Murtazaliev scores one-point on a counter at 1:38.  Murtazaliev scores a third and final point when Heskett scrambles to his feet near the edge of the mat and gets pushed out of bounds.

Quarterfinals: Heskett dec. Gabor Hatos (Hungary), 1-0, 0-4, 2-0
First Period
Heskett scores a one-point single leg at :23.

Second Period
Hatos puts Heskett to his back for two-points at :14.  Heskett had taken a shot , but was underhooked and turned to his back for the exposure.  Hatos gets an additional point for the hold.  Heskett takes a shot but is snapped to the mat  and scored on for one-point at 1:04.  Hatos scores a fourth and final point at 1:56 when Heskett steps out of bounds.

Third Period
Hatos scores one-point on a snapdown at :57.  Heskett scores on a single leg at 1:45 and survives a wild scramble near the end of the period to secure the win.

Third Round: Heskett dec. A. Bazrighaleh (Iran), 4-0, 0-4, 2-0
First Period
Heskett scores one-point on a single leg at :13.  Heskett scores two-points on a trap-arm gut wrench and gets an additional point for the hold at :34.

Second Period
Bazrighaleh scores one-point on a single leg at :56.  Bazrighaleh scores two-points for exposure at 1:17.  Bazrighaleh was in on Heskett's legs and was able to put Heskett on his back after a long scramble on the mat.  Bazrighaleh finishes off the period with a one-point knee pick.

Third Period
Heskett scores one-point on a single leg at :33.   After getting the takedown, Bazrighaleh was cautioned for fleeing, resulting in a second and final point for Heskett at :38.

Second Round: Heskett dec. Hiroki Kayamori (Japan), 1-0, 6-0
First Period
Heskett scores a one-point single leg at 1:16.

Second Period
Heskett scores three consecutive two-point crotch lifts at 1:06, 1:12, and 1:15 to win the period 6-0.

First Round: Heskett dec. Zijian Wu (China), 4-3, 1-0
First Period
Heskett scores one-point on a step out at :09.  Heskett scores one-point on a low single at :34.  Wu scores on a high crotch at 1:17 and adds a two-point gut wrench at 1:27 to take a 4-3 lead.  Heskett puts Wu on his back at 1:44 after the two scramble for position from their knees.  The exposure gives Heskett the period win, 4-3.

Second Period
Heskett scores a one-point go-behind from a front headlock at :23.


84 kg/185 lbs. - Joe Williams (Dekalb, Ill./Sunkist Kids)
Bronze Medal Match: Reza Yazdani (Iran) dec. Williams, 1-0, 3-0
First Period
No scoring for the first two minutes.  Yazdani wins the coin flip and scores one-point at 2:07 to take the period.

Second Period
After a short scramble from Yazdani's leg attack, Yazdani scores two exposure points at :20 and holds Williams in the danger position for another point.  Yazdani wins the period 3-0.

1st Repechage Match: Williams dec. D. Bichinashvili (Germany), 1-0, 0-1, 1-0
First Period
Williams scores a one-point single leg takedown early in the period.

Second Period
Bichinashvili scores one-point on an ankle pick at 1:13.

Third Period
 Williams drives Bichinashvili out of bounds with a double leg attack at 1:54 to win the period and the match.

Quarterfinals: Georgy Ketoev (Russia) dec. Williams, 4-0, 4-0
First Period
Ketoev scores one-point at :33 on a single leg from an underhook.  Ketoev follows it up with a two-point high-gut at :47 and earns an additional point for the hold.

Second Period
Williams shoots on a double leg and gets in deep, but is forced to give up a one-point takedown instead of exposure after Ketoev counters.   Ketoev follows it up with a two-point high-gut at :38 and earns an additional point for the hold.

Third Round: Williams dec. Soslan Gattsiev (Belarus), 1-0, 6-0
First Period
Williams defends Gattsiev for a one-point takedown at 1:00.

Second Period
Williams scores one-point on a single leg at :12 when he attacks off of Gattsiev's fake.  Williams drives Gattsiev out of bounds on a double leg for one-point at :37.  Williams scores three-points on a double leg at :49.  Williams finishes the period and the match at 1:03 when he gets behind Gattsiev for a one-point takedown.

Second Round: Williams dec. Arpad Ritter (Hungary), 2-0, 0-1, 1-0
First Period
Williams drives Ritter out of bounds on a double leg attempt at :13 for one point.  Williams scores one-point on a go behind at 1:57.

Second Period
Ritter scores one-point on a high crotch at 1:51.

Third Period
Williams scores one-point at 1:40 when he shoots a double leg and switches off to a single leg to score the period and match winning takedown.
