U.S. receives draw for first day of Junior World Greco-Roman Championships

BEIJING, CHINA - Four U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers have weighed in and received their draw for the first day of action at the Junior World Championships, held at the CAU Gymnasium on Tuesday.
Included during the first day is Robbie Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 96 kg/211.5 lbs., who is competing in his third Junior World Championships. Smith placed ninth in the Junior World meet last year.
Smith will face Tsukiaki Natakani of Japan in his opening bout.
The other U.S. draws in the first round are:
50 kg/110 lbs. - Tyler Cox, Gillette, Wyo. (Camel Kids)
vs. Carlo Van Wyck (South Africa)
60 kg/132 lbs.- Jake Swenson, Moroni, Utah (Sunkist Kids/USOEC)
Vs. Manuel Almeida (Portugal)
74 kg/163 lbs. - Chad Hemerson, Monterey, Calif. (USOEC)
Vs. Hiroto Uesako (Japan)
96 kg/211.5 lbs. - Robbie Smith, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC)
Vs. Tsukiaki Natakani (Japan)
The volunteer coaches in Greco-Roman are Olympian John Matthews and veteran coach Isaac Ramaswamy, who are working with National Greco-Roman Developmental Coach Ike Anderson.
