60 kg/132 lbs. - Mike Zadick, Solon, Iowa (Gator WC)
Will face Antonio Gonzales of Panama in his first match

"Obviously, I will have a real good matchup against Cuba down here. I'm looking forward to the match. I know he's a great wrestler, but I don't think I'm any slouch either."

"I just have to stay focused on this tournament right now and not worry about the wrestle-off (Aug. 16 against Nate Gallick). The bottom line for me no matter where I wrestle is to win. You win here and then you move on and take care of business the 16th. Then you keep winning when you get to Azerbaijan. That's my plan. I'm in this sport to compete and I'm in it to win."

74 kg/163 lbs. - Joe Heskett, Columbus, Ohio (Gator WC)
Will face Maximo Blanco of Venezuela in his first match

"How can you not be at the peak of excitement when you have the opportunity to represent your country while doing what you love? I'm feeling real good and we have great team camaraderie and we're ready to wrestle."

"I've wrestled the Cuban a couple times and the bottom line is I just have to be ready for each match. All these guys are tough here."

96 kg/211.5 lbs. - Daniel Cormier, Stillwater, Okla. (Gator WC)
Will face Michel Batista of Cuba in his first match

"The same thing happened to me at the Pan Am Games in 2003 when I wrestled Cuba in the first match. It really makes no difference. You wrestle them the first match and get them out of there and then you go on and wrestle everybody else."

"What I remember most from the 2003 Pan Ams was that I dominated. I want to do the same thing this time. Last time, I had a pin and then the other two matches I beat the Cuban 8-0 and then I beat the guy in the finals 10-0. I want to dominate, I want to wrestle hard and wrestle well."

"I'm more focused now than I've been in a long time. Time's running out before the Olympic Games. I've got to be ready to compete now. I've got to train hard, get my weight right and doing everything right. I feel like I've done that and hopefully my results this summer will show that."
