The first session of the Accelerade Cadet National Championships began with the Greco-Roman division at the FargoDome.

There are two returning champions in the field, and both ended up in the same weight class, 125 pounds. Dylan Carew of Iowa, last year's champion at 112 pounds and Mac Bailey of Missouri, the 105-pound champion. Both won three matches during their first session of wrestling..

Perhaps the toughest division in the tournament is 112 pounds, which features six returning All-Americans, including 2006 Cadet National runner-up Cade Moss of Utah.  Moss placed second last year at 91 pounds. 

Moss was one of the few past All-Americans to lose a match in the first session. He was defeated by Destin McCauley of Minnesota, 2-1, 4-0 in the first match. Moss won his other bouts and remains alive in the draw. 

Other returning All-Americans at 112 pounds include Damonte Riley of Illinois, Jordan Cox of Idaho, Kyle Dake of New York, Jacob Kauffman of Oregon and Joshua Kremmier of Colorado. All are undefeated after one session. Kremmier pinned all three of his first-session opponents.

Another returning Cadet Nationals runner-up, Jeff Vesta of Kansas, is competing at 91 pounds. He placed second last year at 84 pounds.

The All-American Alton brothers from Pennsylvania, Dylan (130) and Andrew (135) remain unbeaten after one session. Dylan pinned both of his opponents while Andrew had a pin and a technical fall.Dylan was third last year at 119 pounds and Andrew was seventh at 125 pounds.

Two returning All-Americans suffered a loss, but remain alive in the double elimination tournament: Taylor Walsh of New Jersey (119) and Trent Debraga of Nevada (140).
