Northern Plains Regionals, the final World Team Trials qualifier, set for Waterloo, Iowa, May 3-5

The Northern Plains Senior Regional Championships, the final qualifying event for the World Team Trials, will be held May 3-5, in Waterloo, Iowa at McElroy Auditorium. 

The winners of the Senior division in each weight class in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's freestyle qualify for the Team Trials. It is the last chance for athletes to qualify for the World Team Trials, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., June 8-10.

A large and talented field is expected.

All athletes must register online by Tuesday, May 1 at 1 p.m. CST to receive a discounted registration fee. To register online, click the link below.

Onsite registration is available for an additional cost. 

In addition to the Senior Regionals, the Northern Plains Junior Regional Championships will also be held there.

To participate in the men's Senior division, athletes must be born in 1987 or before, or have a medical certificate if born between 1988 and 1989.

Weight classes for Seniors are: 55 kg/121 lbs., 60 kg/132 lbs., 66 kg/145.5 lbs., 74 kg/163 lbs., 84 kg/185 lbs., 96 kg/211.5 lbs. and 120 kg/264.5 lbs.

Women who participate in this event must be born in 1987 or before, or have a medical certificate if born between 1988 and 1990.

Weight classes for Senior women are: 48 kg/105.5 lbs., 51 kg/112.25 lbs., 55 kg/121 lbs., 59 kg/130 lbs., 63 kg/138.75 lbs., 67 kg/147.5 lbs. and 72 kg/158.5 lbs.
