Lindsey Durlacher, T.C. Dantzler set to be inducted into Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame

Lindsey Durlacher and T.C. Dantzler, a pair of top-five finishers in Greco-Roman wrestling at the 2006 World Championships, will be inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Durlacher and Dantzler, who both grew up in the Chicago suburbs, will be inducted during a banquet on Saturday in the Chicago suburb of Countryside, Ill.
Durlacher, from Buffalo Grove, Ill., won a bronze medal at 55 kg/121 lbs. in his second appearance at the World Championships last September in Guangzhou, China. Durlacher won an Illinois state championship for Buffalo Grove High School in 1992. He also won a state title in Wisconsin as a junior in 1991. He was an NCAA runner-up at 118 pounds for the University of Illinois as a senior in 1997. He placed fourth at the 1996 NCAA meet.
Dantzler, from Harvey, Ill., finished fifth at 74 kg/163 lbs. in his fourth appearance at the World Championships last year. Dantzler placed second in the Illinois state tournament for Thornwood High School in 1988. He was a four-time NCAA qualifier for Northern Illinois from 1990-93.
Dantzler and Durlacher were part of a U.S. team that placed third in the Greco-Roman team race at the 2006 World meet.
Danztler won the U.S. Nationals on April 7 and will take the No. 1 seed at 163 into the U.S. World Team Trials on June 9-10 in Las Vegas. Dantzler already has clinched a spot in the best-of-3 finals by virtue of winning the U.S. Nationals and placing in the top five at the World Championships last year. Durlacher placed second at the U.S. Nationals and will be the No. 2 seed in his weight class at the World Team Trials.
Durlacher and Dantzler both live in Colorado Springs, Colo., and are resident-athletes at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
