Seton Hall's Bell and Rider's Catone named ECWA Wrestlers of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--Everett Bell of Seton Hall University, and Nick Catone of Rider University, have been named the East Coast Wrestling Association Wrestlers of the Week, and Seton Hall's Leet Brady has been named the ECWA Rookie of the Week, for all competition February 20-26.    Bell, a senior 174 from Wallington, NJ (Becton Regional), moved up two weights and won to help Seton Hall defeat Columbia 19-18.    Catone, a sophomore 165 from Brick, NJ (Brick Memorial), defeated the 11th ranked wrestler in the nation from Cornell, and moved up to a national ranking of 20th.    Brady, a freshman 157 from Tulsa, OK (Union), win his dual meet last week by a 15-8 score, helping the Pirates win the final dual meet of the season and giving the rookie five wins in his last six decisions, including three in a row.    Catone improved to 20-10 on the season with a 10-3 decision over Clint Wattenberg, cutting the Cornell lead to 13-9 in the 26-12 loss. Catone finished the dual meet season 9-6, including 4-1 against ECWA competition, and enters the ECWA tournament as the second ranked 165 in the conference.    Bell gave up 23 pounds in his 5-4 victory over T. J. Francisco of Columbia. It was Bell's sixth consecutive victory, and moves up to first in the ECWA rankings.  Bell is 16-5 overall, 7-3 in duals and 2-0 in ECWA competition.    The ECWA Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4 at Binghamton University.  The ECWA Championships will send 17 wrestlers on to the NCAA National Championships, March 15-17 at the University of Iowa.
