A large crowd came out to support the U.S. freestylers. Big U.S. wins came from Randy Lewis, Rico Chiapparelli and others.

USA vs. Russia in the World Cup (1997) - Held in Stillwater, Okla., this was the first time in the history of the World Cup where the U.S. team was able to shut out Russia, winning every single match in the dual meet. The U.S. lineup included Lou Rosselli, Kendall Cross, John Fisher, Townsend Saunders, Pat Smith, Kevin Jackson, Mike Van Arsdale and Bruce Baumgartner.

The 1989 World Grand Championships - This was the first major "prize money" event in international wrestling, with the best wrestlers from the world facing the top athletes from the United States in challenge matches. Held in front of record crowds in Pittsburgh, Pa., the feature bout was between Olympic champions John Smith and Sergei Beloglazov. Among the other key bouts was between Kenny Monday and Nasyr Gadzhikanov.

USA vs. Soviet Union in the Goodwill Games (1990) - The Goodwill Games, a major multi-sport event with many of the world's greatest athletes, was held in Seattle, Wash in 1990. Big wins by Cory Baze, Zeke Jones and Joe Melchiore got the momentum going, and the victory was sealed by Bill Scherr.

The Best of Barcelona DVD features 1992 Olympic champions John Smith, Kevin Jackson and Bruce Baumgartner, as well as slow motion footage and video narration. The United States had one of its strongest teams in history, and this DVD documents the stars and their performances.
