DALLAS - Three Oklahoma State wrestlers met the top-ranked wrestler at their weight class in the NWCA All-Star Classic at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Johny Hendricks was the only Cowboy to win as he defeated rival Mark Perry for the fourth straight time. Juniors Coleman Scott and Nathan Morgan both lost to the top-ranked wrestlers at 133 and 141, respectively. Earlier in the evening, Dallas native Kevin Wainscott defeated Brian Kinsella of Texas-Arlington in an exhibition match, 17-3.

Scott was the first Cowboy to take the mat against top-ranked Matt Valenti at 133. Valenti got a pair of first period takedowns and took the early lead on Scott. Valenti took control with a second period ride out. Valenti added an escape in the third period to go up 5-2. Scott made it interesting locking up a cradle at the end of the period, but he did not have enough time to get back points and the match ended at 6-5.

Morgan got the first takedown in the second period to go up in the match, but Lang scored a pair of escapes to tie the match going into the third period. Morgan started down and took the lead on an escape in the third period. Morgan appeared to be on his way to a victory, but Lang scored a takedown with two seconds left for a 4-3 victory.

Hendricks resumed his rivalry with Iowa's Mark Perry. The match went into the second period scoreless as Hendricks started the period in the bottom position. With a minute to go in the period, Hendricks whipped behind and scored a reversal to take a two-point lead. Hendricks rode hard in the third period and earned over one minute of riding time before cutting Perry. Hendricks held on for the 3-1 victory.

The Cowboys return to the mat as a team against Bedlam rival Oklahoma on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the McCasland Fieldhouse in Norman.
