"I leave here. I lost to two World champs. Those are the people you train year round to beat. It's a bit of a letdown. Not that this is no chump tournament, but those guys you train to beat. Both matches I had them beat and they got away. Like Christmas in September."

"I felt like every match I came off the mat and left it all there. In this tournament, every match could be my last match. I wanted them to know my name before I left China. If not for my spectacular moves, for my passion. I look around and see guys with three or four World titles who didn't do as well as I did. 

"Since March, I have been wrestling without an ACL. It has slowed down my progress on being aggressive on the top and on my feet. In some ways, it has helped me in other areas. I know if I come back next time, at 100 percent, or even at 80 percent, it's a totally different ballgame to show what I can do. It's another stepping stone. It makes me more hungry."

"I would like to thank some people. Coach Jim Ravannack and the Gator WC have really helped me. He sent me on four tours this year. John Bardis has helped me all year, and of course Anatoly (Petrosyan) and Momir (Petkovic). When I tore my ACL, John Bardis told me about how Lee Kemp had no ACL and won three World titles and still doesn't have one. I knew then I could make this happen. Of course, I also thank the Olympic Training Center training room.  I am in there four hours a day sometimes. I thank my family and the Harvey Twisters. I'd like to thank my training partners, too."

"It was nice to get that second shot. You lose, and you put your fate in somebody else's hands. He made it to the finals, and I am grateful for the second chance. I wish I had done more with it. It is good that I am not so happy about that."

"I felt good. I only had one match going in, and I wasn't tired. If I lose that match, I'm 0-2 and it doesn't look good. Here, everybody you wrestle is good. I wish I could have gotten a medal or something to help the team standings. I wasn't just wrestling for myself. I wanted to seal the deal for the team, and have everybody go home with something. I am disappointed with that."

"It is my fault I lost. When I am coaching, I tell kids, don't worry about the refs. They can't beat you. You have to take control of the match. Sometimes, the guy is good, and it comes down to the ref's call. I was confused about how the points were being scored in that last match. There are times bad calls are against you, but you will get the call down the road. I feel I was on the wrong side this time and I had the bad call today. Maybe, I will get the next one."

"I know I am up there with these guys. I've gone toe-to-toe with a lot of them. I need to come here with a different approach. I got so fired up at the Nationals and Trials this year. I felt good here. I'm going to be back, and hopefully it goes better."

"Winning that match (Dantzler's bronze medal bout), besides making history with four medals, it could also have helped in clinching a team title. I'm not sure the standings are totally accurate, though."

"T.C. Dantzler gave his heart, everything he had. He should be proud of himself. He worked hard for a long time. He deserves to win a medal. Maybe it was another lesson learned that will make his medal a gold in the future."

"Jake Clark wrestled well too. He beat Bardosi, the Hungarian, who won a silver medal in the Olympics. He wrestled well and gave it his all. He wrestled smart and hard. He lost a barnburner to the Iranian. It is a game of inches at this level. One or two little things change for Jake and we pick up six team points."

"It is a little disheartening today, after such a great day yesterday. But we are not out of it. If Dremiel Byers does well, we can win this thing as a team, for the first time in history. We have to stay positive and get ready for tomorrow. It was so close today. We don't get into this position often. When we get into position to win a team title, it is hard to see it slip a bit. We will see tomorrow."
