Greco-Roman Play-by-Play for USA Wrestlers from the World Championships on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in Guangzhou, China (Matches will be updated throughout the day)

74 KG - T.C. DANTZLER (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO./GATOR WC)

Bronze-medal match: Manuchar Krirkvelia (Georgia) dec. Dantzler, 1-1, 2-1, 5-0
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Neither wrestler can execute a turn in par terre and Dantzler wins the period by virtue of scoring last.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. The Georgia wrestler scores a reversal at 1:14 and gains another point since Dantzler didn't turn him. Period ends 2-1 after Dantzler is not turned.

Third period
No takedown in the first minute. The Georgia wrestler gains three-point exposure for a lift at 1:05 and two more points for exposure at 1:50.

Repechage 2: Dantzler dec. Roman Meleshin (Kazakhstan), 2-1, 0-4, 3-2
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler hits reverse body lock and turn for two points at 1:32. One-point turn for Meleshin at 1:48. Dantzler wins period 2-1.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler can't turn and Meleshin leads 1-0. Meleshin gains three-point turn at 1:50 to win period 4-0.

Third period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler takes 3-0 lead at 1:19 after hitting reverse lift. Dantzler called for caution at 1:30 mark and Meleshin is given two points to make it 3-2. Dantzler avoids being turned and wins the period and the match.

Quarterfinals: Marko Yli-Hannuksela (Finland) dec. Dantzler, 1-1, 7-0, 4-2
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Neither guy can turn the other and Dantzler wins the period by virtue of scoring last.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. The Finland wrestler turns Dantzler for three at 1:25 and adds four more points to win 7-0.

Third period
Dantzler uses body lock to score takedown at 0:26. The Finland wrestler body locks Dantzler for three at 1:21 and goes up 4-1 since Dantzler couldn't turn him in the first 30-second period. Dantzler adds a final point after not being turned in the last 30.

Second round: Dantzler dec. Taichi Saga (Japan), 4-0, 3-0
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler hits front headlock and turn for three points at 1:17. Saga can't turn Dantzler, who gains a point to win period 4-0.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. Saga can't turn Dantzler, who takes a 1-0 lead. Dantzler gains a turn and two points at 1:50 to win the period 3-0.

First round: Dantzler dec. Choi Duk Hoon (Korea), 4-0, 2-2, 4-0
First period
No takedown in the first period. Dantzler wins the flip and uses a front headlock and lift to turn Choi for two points at 1:20. Dantzler gains a reversal at 1:59 and adds another point since he's not turned. Dantzler wins the period 4-0.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler wins the flip and again hits a front headlock to turn his opponent at 1:27 to lead 2-0. The Korean uses the same move with a front headlock to turn Dantzler at 1:50. The period finishes 2-2 and Choi wins it by virtue of scoring last.

Third period
No takedown in the first minute. Dantzler wins his third straight coin flip and capitalizes with a reverse body lock, lift and turn for three points at 1:25. The Korean can't turn Dantzler in the final 30 seconds, giving Dantzler an additional point for a 4-0 win.

84 KG - JACOB CLARK (OKINAWA, JAPAN/U.S. MARINE CORPS)

Repechage 2: Saman Tahmasebi (Iran) dec. Clark, 5-2, 3-1
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Tahmasebi hits back-to-back two-point turns with gut-wrench at 1:15 and 1:19 to lead 4-0. Clark counters and gains exposure on edge to cut lead to 4-2 at 1:20. Clark can't turn Iran wrestler in last 30 and period ends 5-2.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. Clark is called for a caution at the 1:00 mark and trails 2-0. The Iran wrestler can't turn Clark, who draws within 2-1. Clark needs a turn to stay alive, but can't finish with a front headlock and the period ends 3-1 with Tahmasebi winning.

Repechage 1: Clark dec. Sandor Bardosi (Hungary), 4-1, 0-2, 2-2
First period
No takedown in the first minute. Clark executes a three-point throw at 1:12 to lead 3-0 and adds another point for not being turned to lead 4-0. Clark doesn't turn Bardosi and the period ends with Clark winning 4-1.

Second period
No takedown in the first minute. Clark doesn't turn Bardosi, who leads 1-0. Bardosi scores on a pushout at 1:39 and wins the period 2-0.

Third period
Bardosi scores on a one-point pushout at 0:56. Bardosi scores on a one-point turn at 1:08 to lead 2-0. Needing a turn to win, Clark hits a two-point reverse lift at 1:38 to tie it 2-2. He gains the tiebreaker by virtue of his two-point move and by scoring last.

No takedown in the first minute. Clark wins the flip, but Avluca gains a reversal at 1:20 to lead 1-0. He adds a point after not being turned. Avluca doesn't turn Clark, but still wins 2-1 as Clark gets a final point for not being turned.
