Joe Warren, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC)
Gold medalist at 60 kg/132 lbs.

"Now I work for next year. Hopefully, I win one more of these, then an Olympic gold medal."

"I never quit. I'm the happiest man in the world. I have been working on this my whole life. I have had a great supporting cast with my coaches and family. I'm the baddest man on the planet. I wanted to say that for years."

(about being behind in the last period of the finals against Bedinadze)
"I thought I screwed myself and lost the World Championship. I never give up. I believed in myself and I wouldn't quit. I pulled it off. I loved myself. I knew I could win. "I stood up, took a deep breathe and took one more chance. I have worked on this my whole life. I am so happy. I feel like crying."

Lindsey Durlacher, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC)
Bronze medalist at 55 kg/121 lbs.

"I've got a responsibility to my country to win medals at the World and Olympic competitions. That is my job. Brandon Paulson and Dennis Hall have performed in past years. It is right for me to perform now. It is my job to fill their shoes. I am trying to fill that gap, the tradition of great American Greco-Roman lightweights."

"That was just a start. I want the gold next year. I set small attainable goals. A set a goal of winning a medal at the World Championships this year. Next, the goal is to win the World and Olympic gold. I turned some heads with my wrestling today. I want to thank my coaches and all the people who believe in me. I didn't do this for myself. I really don't get that much out of my wrestling. I do this for the people who said I couldn't win, I couldn't perform. I do it for them. There is not a lot of fun in wrestling. Sure, it is fun to win. But other aspects of wrestling are exhausting. I do this for my family, my friends and the American people."

Harry Lester, Akron, Ohio (USOEC/Gator WC)
Bronze medalist at 66 kg/145.5 lbs.

"I knew if I got a second chance, I wouldn't waste it. I knew if I got there, I would give 150 percent, everything in my tank. I knew I had more to give. I have more than 100 percent in my tank. I think I just went 100 percent in the early matches. Against Gergov and Eroglu, I gave more than I have."

After last year, I wrestled so poorly. This year I gave 100 percent each match. Even though I lost, I gave everything I had. I am satisfied with the way I wrestled. It's a different feeling. I beat good guys this year. Last year, I lost the only match. I lost today to Krygyzstan, I should have beaten him. I had to show everybody what I had, what kind of heart I have and how I can wrestle."

(about getting a bronze)
"It feels better, but it is not the color I wanted. It's satisfying to see how much hard work I put into this. It shows people how dedicated I am. I have only been here twice and I have talked to people who have been here a lot and have never medaled. They were good wrestlers. It shows the dedication I put in and my coaches put into this."

National Greco-Roman coach Steve Fraser

"I couldn't be happier. Anatoly Petrosyan, Momir Petrovic and the other coaches have worked so hard. They are in the trenches with the wrestlers every day. These guys deserve the credit for Joe and Lindsey. Joe has so much heart and so much emotion. It was just a matter of time before he could channel it and he'd be a champion."

"It's a happy day. I'm a happy dude, as Jeff Blatnick would say. We are not done yet. We want to win the title. We need more great performances."

"I am proud of Joe. He wrestled great. He came into his own. He found peace. He wrestled with the same intensity that he always had, but wrestled with a sense of calm. He wasn't making mistakes. He was so confident that he would win. All we did as coaches was stay out of his way. He was focused on winning."

U.S. World Team Coach Shawn Sheldon

"Joe Warren wrestled great. He has the biggest heart ever. He was down and had to score with 20 seconds left and he went for it. He has no fear. He did his funky reach around move and he got it. He was making them quit. He was breaking the guys. He had a great tournament. He dominated them all in the second and third period."

"Lindsey had a close match with the Iranian and he came back strong after that and wrestled like a true champion. That is the hardest thing in the sport, losing in the semifinals and coming back. He dug deep and wrestled like a warrior. His offense was outstanding and he had great defense."

"Harry's match was unbelievable. I think we had to win it three times. He wrestled great. He is intense. They can't hang with him. He's powerful He will be around a long time."
