National Coach Kevin Jackson featured at Dana College Fall Clinic in Blair, Neb. on October 21

Kevin Jackson, USA Wrestling's National Freestyle Coach and a 1992 Olympic gold medalist, will be a featured clinician at the Dana College Fall Wrestling Clinic in Blair, Neb. on October 21.

Jackson has served as USA Wrestling's National Freestyle Coach since 2001, coaching our nation's elite freestyle wrestlers. He was an Olympic champion at 180.5 pounds at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, and won World gold medals in both 1991 and 1995. 

He made five U.S. World or Olympic teams, and won three World Cup titles and two Pan American Games titles. Jackson was a four-time NCAA All-American, competing for Lousiana State Univ. and Iowa State Univ.

This year's clinic is open to all athletes grades 1-12 and all coaches. In 2005, the Dana Fall Wrestling Clinic attracted 180 area wrestlers and coaches!

The entry fee of $65 includes four intense sessions of elite technique, lunch, a clinic t-shirt, an action DVD from the World Championships, NCEP Copper Certification and a 2006-07 USA Wrestling membership card.

In addition to Jackson's technique sessions, there will also be instruction from members of the Dana College wrestling team, which was the 2006 NAIA national wrestling champions.

Dana College will also be hosting their annual Red and White Classic on Friday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m., making it a weekend of top wrestling activity.
