FARGO, N.D. - Four  returning Junior National champions have qualified for the gold medal finals at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Women's National Championships. The medal round will be held on Tuesday morning.

The returning champions who have qualified for the finals include Nicole Woody of Maryland at 102 pounds, Caitlyn Chase of Illinois at 110 pounds, Tatiana Padilla of California at 128 pounds and Desiree Memea of Hawaii at 175 pounds 

Woody will face Victory Anthony of California in the championship match.

Chase will battle Alyssa Lampe of Wisconsin in the championship finals. Lampe qualified for the finals by defeating another returning national champion, Joey Miller of Oklahoma, 1-0, 1-0 in the fourth round. Miller, who won the title at 102 pounds last year, will be competing for third place in the weight class.

Padilla will battle Cheyenne Stokes of Oklahoma in the gold-medal match.

Memea will wrestle Dallas Monriel Berner of Illinois in the title bout.

Returning national champion Lakia Henderson of Florida is still not eliminated at 220 pounds.Henderson is in a three-athlete roundrobin and lost her first match by pin to Sarah Lewis of Texas in the first round. Henderson is still mathematically able to win the division, but Lewis must lose for her to have a chance.

Jackie Cataline of California, who was second at the 2006 U.S. Senior Nationals and third at the U.S. Women's World Team Trials, will compete in the finals at 138 pounds against Veronica Carlson of Illinois.

Michaela Hutchison of Alaska, who became the first girl who won a state high school title competing against boys this year, is also a finalist at 119 pounds, where she will face Leanne Barney of Texas.
