Nathan Furches, Kansas dec. Brian Reisenauer, North Dakota, 5-0, 4-1

1st period
No scoring in the first minute. Furches launches Reisenauer is on top first with a five-point reverse lift to win the period 5-0.

2nd period
Furches slips behind for a one-point takedown with 1:32 left. Furches launches Reisenauer with a gut-wrench for three points with 1:12 left. Furches starts on top in the first 30-second period, but can't turn Reisenauer to make it 4-1.

Butler scores one point on a pushout with two seconds left. Score is tied 5-5, but Grajales wins the tiebreaker by virtue of his three-point throw.

2nd period
Butler spins behind for a takedown with 1:50 left. Grajales comes back with a pushout to tie it 1-1 with 1:45 left. Grajales throws Butler for three points with 1:35 left to lead 4-1. Butler scores one point on a pushout with 1:06 left.  Butler is cautioned and Grajales gains two points. Grajales lifts and launches Butler for a five-point throw in the final minute. He wins the period 10-2.

Triggas scores on a pushout to lead 1-0 with 1:22 left. Triggas scores two points on a turn with 47 seconds left. Triggas adds two gut-wrenches to win the period 7-0.

Perez scores two points after a lift with 1:12 left. Perez can't turn and his lead is down to 2-1 entering last 30 seconds. Triggas scores on a two-point gut-wrench. Triggas gains two points on a turn, but also gives up two on the turn with 10 seconds left. Triggas wins 5-4.

No scoring in the first minute. Strait starts on top again and gains three points for a lift with 43 seconds left. Rau launches Strait for three with 28 seconds left and then adds a point for a near fall to win 4-3.

Hutchison gains a body lock and takes a 3-0 lead with 1:22 left. Hutchison is unable to turn Enoch to make it 3-1. Enoch can't turn Hutchison and Hutchison wins period 4-1.

No scoring in the first minute. Enoch can't turn Hutchison and Hutchison is up 1-0. Hutchison gains a three-pointer with a reverse lift with 22 seconds left. Hutchison follows with a five-point throw with five seconds left to win 9-0.

No scoring in the first minute. Reader can't turn Knox and trails 1-0. Knox hits a two-point gut-wrench to lead 3-0 with 17 seconds left.

3rd period
No scoring in the first minute. Reader can't turn Knox again and trails 1-0. Knox can't turn him this time and the 1-1 tie goes to Reader because he scored last.
