Dylan Long joins Iowa State coaching staff

AMES, Iowa - Dylan Long, a Creston native who was the 2003 NCAA 141-pound runner-up for Northern Iowa, has joined the Iowa State coaching staff, ISU head coach Cael Sanderson announced Tuesday. Long was fifth in the 145.5-pound weight class at the 2006 World Team Trials. He spent the last two years on the Northern Iowa coaching staff as conditioning coordinator.
"Dylan has great experience in collegiate and international style wrestling," Iowa State head coach Cael Sanderson said. "He will help emmensly with our middle weight guys. He has a lot to offer our wrestlers and is exactly the kind of coach you would want in your corner."
A four-time NCAA Western Regional champion and NCAA Championships qualifier, Long's career winning percentage of .808 ranks among the best in UNI school history. Long is a 2004 graduate of Northern Iowa in marketing.
