Marano, Roberts to conduct clinic at Body Bar Women's Nationals

Two-time World champion Kristie Marano and two-time World bronze medalist Sally Roberts will be the featured clinicians during the Body Bar Women's Nationals on Saturday, May 6 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Marano and Roberts will lead the clinic at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday. Marano, who competes for the New York Athletic Club, is a seven-time World medalist and seven-time U.S. Nationals champion. Roberts, who competes for the Gator Wrestling Club, is a three-time U.S. Nationals champion.
An autograph session featuring a number of top women's freestyle wrestlers is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Reigning U.S. Nationals champions Clarissa Chun (Gator WC), Sharon Jacobson (USOEC/Gator WC) and Katie Downing (Sunkist Kids) are expected to join Marano and Roberts for the session.
Chun won the U.S. Nationals for the first time last month after placing second in the event four times. Jacobson, who trains at the U.S. Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan, is slated to compete in the University Nationals on Sunday. Downing, a two-time U.S. Nationals champion, was a 2005 World bronze medalist.
The Body Bar event is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Olympic Training Center. In addition to the University division, girls will compete in the FILA Junior and FILA Cadet classes. Also, a Girls Freestyle National Championships will be held for two age divisions, Grades 3-6 and 7-8.
