The events in Las Vegas from April 11th to April 15th are a massive undertaking.  Alongside the U.S. Nationals for the Men's and Women's Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, are the Junior Regionals for the Western region, as well as the FILA Junior tournaments, and the Veterans Nationals.  

Because of the large nature of these events security and screening is always tight.  It is important to realize that if coaches want to enter the event without being charged the cost of admission then they must bring with them two important documents.

Free admission to the events of the week is granted to coaches when they show their current USAW Coach Membership card for the 2005-2006 season (purchased after September 1st of 2005).  Coaches must also prove certification through the National Coaches Education Program.  

Coaches who are certified at the Copper, Bronze, Silver, or Gold level should have in their possession a certification billfold card.  

Coaches who are not certified with USA Wrestling can enter the tournament for free by attending one of two Bronze Certification classes being offered during the week.  

The first course begins Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. with a two-hour session.  The second session for the Bronze Course follows on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m.  Coaches attending the course will be allowed to purchase a membership card if they do not already have one.  The cost of the course is $60, plus $30 for a current USA Wrestling Coaches Membership, if not already purchased, and the second session concludes before the start of Wednesday's preliminary Greco-Roman matches.  

The second course begins on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. with a two-hour session.  The second session for the course begins at 8:00 a.m. and goes till the start of the tournament at 11:00 a.m.  Again, the cost of the course is $60, plus cost of a USA Wrestling Coaches Membership ($30).  

Coaches who have lost their certification card and need it replaced prior to check-in at U.S. Nationals in Las Vegas are encouraged to email Ted Witulski, NCEP Manager, at twitulski@usawrestling.org.  Please include name, mailing address, certification level, and course instructor.  

The events in Vegas are really a great spectacle, so please avoid frustration ahead of time by making sure you are properly prepared to receive credentials.
