Seven of the eight USA Wrestling Junior Regional Championships have online registration procedures.

Starting with the Rocky Mountain Junior Regionals, each of the USA Wrestling Junior Regionals (except the Southeast Junior Regionals) have set up an online registration system.

All athletes must register online at www.TheMat.com by the deadline to take advantage of discounted entry fees that are available.

The Southeast Junior Regionals is the only Junior Regional this year without an online registration system.

To wrestle in the Junior Regionals, participants must be born on or after Sept. 1, 1986 and be currently enrolled in grades 9-12.  The weights for the Junior Regionals are:  98 lbs., 105.5 lbs., 112 lbs., 119 lbs., 125 lbs., 130 lbs., 135 lbs., 140 lbs., 145 lbs., 152 lbs., 160 lbs., 171 lbs., 189 lbs., 215 lbs. and 275 lbs.

Wrestlers placing in the top three of their weight class at a Junior Regional will qualify for their state team at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior National Championships in Fargo, N.D. that takes place July 22-29.

There are three Senior Regionals this year, and each of them have an online registration system with deadlines. Just like the Junior Regionals, there will be a different entry fee for those who do not use the online registration system.

The three Senior Regionals, located in the Rocky Mountain, Northeast, and Northern Plains Regions, will coincide with the Junior Regionals there. There will be competition for men at all three events, while women will compete only at the Rocky Mountain and Northeast Senior Regionals.  

For men, the Senior Regionals that are World Team Trials qualifiers are the Rocky Mountain and Northern Plains Regionals.

For women, the Senior Regionals that are World Team Trials qualifiers are the Rocky Mountain and the Northeast Regionals. (There is no women's event at the Northern Plains tournament this year).
