USA Wrestling's National Coaching staff offers congratulations to all of the young men and women who reached their dream of becoming a high school state champion in 2006.
Each year, thousands of high school athletes earn the right to compete in their state high school tournament. Only a select few are able to achieve the highest honor in high school sports by becoming a state champion. This is an amazing achievement for each and every wrestler. Winning a state high school title also shows that these wrestlers have the potential to become very successful as they move on to the college and international levels.
USA Wrestling has a National Coaching staff in all three styles of wrestling, including men's freestyle, men's Greco-Roman and women's freestyle wrestling. Each of these talented and dedicated coaches work hard every day to help improve the skills and performance of American wrestlers.
USA Wrestling has a National Developmental Coach in each style, each who are responsible for working with the nation's best young wrestlers and assisting their development. These coaches are available to help successful young athletes to improve and assist them in reaching their goals. They set up training opportunities for age-group athletes who wish to spend time at the U.S. Olympic Training Center learning the international styles.
