Greco-Roman matches set for USOEC Olympic Challenge in Marquette, Mich., Feb. 20

Six men's Greco-Roman matches will be highlighted at the 2nd Annual Olympic Challenge - International Edition, set for the Superior Dome in Marquette, Mich., Feb. 20.
Athletes from the United States Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan Univ. in men's Greco-Roman wrestling, women's freestyle wrestling, boxing and weightlifting will compete in this showcase event.
The Greco-Roman matches will feature the USOEC team facing athletes from the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program, and will include some of the top wrestlers in the nation.
At 55 kg/121 lbs., Spencer Mango (Flourissant, Mo./USOEC/Gator WC) will battle Jermaine Hodge of the U.S. Army. Mango holds a No. 5 national ranking on Greco-Roman Team USA.
There are two matches at 74 kg/163 lbs. In the first match, Cheney Haight (Orem, Utah/USOEC/New York AC) will compete against Brandon McNab of the U.S. Army. The second match at that weight class will feature Jake Fisher (Platte City, Mo./USOEC) against Jess Hargrave of the U.S. Army. Fisher is ranked No 4 in the USA on Greco-Roman Team USA.
At 84 kg/185 lbs., Chaz Betts (St. Michael, Minn./USOEC/Minnesota Storm) will wrestle against Aaron Sieracki of the U.S. Army. Betts holds a No. 6 national ranking on Greco-Roman Team USA. Sieracki has won a number of Armed Forces Championships gold medals, and has been nationally ranked for a number of years on the Senior level.
Competing at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. will be Gerard Habibian (Salt Lake City, Utah/USOEC) against Phil Johnston of the U.S. Army. Johnston holds a No. 4 national ranking on Greco-Roman Team USA.
Two top wrestlers will battle in the other match at 96 kg/211.5 lbs, when Adam Wheeler (Lancaster, Calif./USOEC/Gator WC) competes against Albert Sankey of the U.S. Army. Wheeler is ranked No. 2 in the USA on Greco-Roman Team USA. He was second in the 2005 U.S. Nationals and the 2005 World Team Trials. Sankey holds a No. 6 national ranking on Greco-Roman Team USA.

The USOEC boxing team will face a team from Canada in the event. In addition, there will be a weightlifting intersquad competition as part of the tournament.
Tickets are available at the USOEC office, located in the Superior Dome, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday, and at the door the night of the event. They are $1 for students and $3 for adults.
"All ticket revenue will be donated to the families of former USOEC wrestling athlete Toni Copeland and Northern Michigan University student Cass Huckabee, who tragically drowned in Lake Superior last fall," said USOEC Assistant Director Mike Fields.
