LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--Everett Bell of Seton Hall University has been named the East Coast Wrestling Association Wrestler of the Week, and Bill Heverly of Drexel University was named the ECWA Rookie of the Week, for all competition January 30-February 5. Bell, a senior from Wallington, NJ (Becton Regional), went 2-0 last week without allowing a point, defeating a pair of ECWA wrestlers who are ranked ahead of him. Heverly, a freshman from Pine Hill, NJ (Camden Catholic), went 2-0 last week, winning by fall and tech fall, in a pair of Drexel victories. Bell, who is not ranked in the ECWA, won a major decision (8-0) over Sacred Heart's Steve Forrest, the fourth ranked 174 in the ECWA, leading Seton Hall to a conference win. Bell defeated Rider's Bob Pizzuto (4-0), the ECWA's third ranked 174, to give Seton Hall a 3-0 lead in the 19-12 loss to Rider. Heverly recorded a pin against Princeton's 133 pounder that broke a 4-4 tie, leading the Dragons to a 35-12 victory. Heverly began the week by winning a tech fall (5:06) against Boston University in an ECWA victory. Heverly is now 3-1 in ECWA competition.
