Denver, CO - September 14, 2005 -Olympic Gold and Bronze medalist, in Greco-Roman Wrestling, Rulon Gardner will sign his first book, "Never Stop Pushing" in Denver and Colorado Springs Wednesday, September 21, 2005.
The Denver signing will occur at the ESPN Zone restaurant on the 16th Street Mall at the Tabor Center from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Rulon will also be featured on the ESPN Zone 2Day program, a television show produced by ESPN Zone and aired live exclusively for its dining guests, from 12:30pm-1:00pm. ESPN Zone 2Day features lively interviews on topical sports news and issues with current and former athletes and sports personalities. Audience interaction is an integral component of the show, providing dining guests with opportunities to question sports luminaries on-air and enjoy a dining experience unlike any other in downtown Denver.
After the interview, Rulon will be signing copies of "Never Stop Pushing" and posing for photos with guests. "Never Stop Pushing" will be available for sale for $20 at ESPN Zone from 11:30am-2:00pm, with $5 of each copy going toward hurricane relief. Local businesses are encouraged to bring their employees to this event to receive coupons for discounts on Rulon's corporate motivational speeches.
The Colorado Springs signing will occur at the Olympic Training Center Store from 5:00pm-7:00pm. At 7:00pm, Rulon will be speaking at the USOC Paralympic Military Summit. He will address 35 injured service people who will be participating in the Summit. The USOC has collaborated with military installations and commands, the Department of Veterans' Affairs and Paralympic organizations nation-wide to conduct Paralympic sport programs for active duty military personnel and veterans who have physical disabilities.
The program was established to enhance rehabilitation, readiness and lifestyle though participation in Paralympic sports. The Summits include introductory clinics and Paralympic competition. Rulon feels a special affinity for the service men and women of this country, having done several USO Tours, and dedicated his book to the men and women of the military.
