Fox College Sports plans coverage of 2005 World University Games

Fox College Sports has announced that it will air numerous events from the 2005 World University Games being held in Izmir, Turkey. Fox College Sports is a regional station, similar to Fox Sports Net. For more information or to receive Fox College Sports, contact your local cable provider. This is the 23rd year that the World University Games will be held, but the first time that wrestling has been included in the event. Wrestlers have competed in many University World Championships, but none as part of this event. The World University Games are similar to the Olympics for University-level athletes. Overall, athletes will compete in 14 different sports, including wrestling. The others are diving, basketball, gymnastics, fencing, track & field, soccer, archery, water polo, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, sailing and swimming. Wrestling competition will take place August 13-17. Men`s freestyle will take place August 13-14, women`s freestyle August 15 and Greco-Roman August 16-17.
