USA Wrestling's annual State Leaders Summit is set for August 18-22, 2004 at Sheraton Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. Numerous State Leaders from USA Wrestling's state associations are expected to participate in a wide-ranging variety of seminars on organizational skills, insurance, the National Coaches Education Program and the use of online reporting and leadership topics. The days are planned to provide the leaders with a variety of meetings, networking and socializing opportunities in a variety of ways all in pursuit of making their state organizations bigger and better. "USA Wrestling's State Leaders' Summit provides the opportunity for volunteer leaders to enhance their skills in managing USA Wrestling programs in their respective state association," said Mark Scott, USA Wrestling Director of State Services. "The goals of this annual program are to introduce our state leaders to new ideas and to share their successful programs with others that can benefit. The main focus of the summit is building upon success and education so that USA Wrestling continues to grow in membership and in providing quality programming. "The USA Wrestling Staff is excited about the upcoming program that will be presented to our state leaders and we are looking forward to three days of productive meetings and seminars," Said Scott. Chairperson of State Chairpersons Archie Randall of Oklahoma is a key volunteer leader in the presentation of the seminar, working with national staff to develop the agenda for the weekend. Among the highlights of the schedule is a seminar entitled "Question behind the Question," presented by QBQ author and founder John Miller. Each year, this Summit is held to assist USA Wrestling's state leaders in building and expanding the programs in their states, as well as better serving their members.
