Clark Glass of Florida became the third winner of the coveted USA Wrestling Ultimate Dominator Award after finishing second at the 2005 Kids Folkstyle National Championships in the Schoolboy/Girl age division (born 1991-92). Glass finished with a total of 14,400 points, 1,200 points ahead of John Sims of Indiana, after the 10-tournament series. Glass also finished first in Division II (11-12 year-olds) in the 2004-05 Dominator Series. Last year, Sims placed fifth overall in the Dominator Series. Overall, Glass competed in nine of the 10 events in USA Wrestling's Dominator Series. He placed first in six of those tournaments and second in the other three. Placing first in Division I (9-10 years old) was Noah Teaney of Missouri with 9,200 points overall. Teaney won his second Kids Folkstyle National title with a gold medal at 55 lbs. in the Midget age group (born 1995-96). In Division III (13-15 years old), Philip Grout of Colorado and David Rios of California tied for first place with 7,400 points each. Both wrestlers placed third in their respective weight class, Grout at 100 lbs. and Rios at 145 lbs., in the Schoolboy/Girl division. All tiebreakers also ended even between the two wrestlers, leaving them in a first-place tie. In the USA Wrestling Dominator Series, a wrestler earns 1,600 points for a first-place finish, 1,200 for second place and 1,000 for third place.
