There are still openings available for elite young athletes in the 2012 Junior Olympic Training Program, set for the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 10-17. This unique training opportunity is only being offered to wrestlers who have earned high placements at select USA Wrestling age-group national tournaments. Those meeting the following criteria will be eligible for remaining spots in the camp: * Top 4 placewinners at 2004 Cadet Nationals in Fargo N.D. * Top 4 placewinners at 2004 FILA Cadet Nationals in Evanston, Ill. * Top 7 placewinners at 2004 Junior Nationals in Fargo, N.D. There are only beds for 55 athletes to participate in this valuable and important training camp. Eligible athletes should register right away, because once the camp is filled, registration will close. The final deadline is May 30, 2005, after which no applications will be accepted. The entry fee for the 2012 Junior Olympic Training Program is $80. Athletes will be housed and receive meals free at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Athletes must provide their own transportation to and from Colorado Springs, but shuttle service will be available to and from the airport at no expense. Once an athlete has been accepted to this camp, he will receive a packet with complete information regards what to bring. Athletes will work out with USA Wrestling's National Coaches, as well as with USOTC resident athletes in both styles, as part of this elite training camp.
