The registration deadline for USA Wrestling's 2005 Kids/Cadet and Veterans Folkstyle National Championships is quickly approaching with final entries due by noon on Monday, March 28. The event, which marks the conclusion USA Wrestling's Ultimate Challenge Series of Folkstyle wrestling and the beginning of the celebrated Triple Crown Series, traditionally draws the top Kids and Cadet folkstyle wrestlers from around the country.  This year's event will likely include several wrestlers who are still in contention for the nine "Dominator Belts" as well as the prestigious "Ultimate Dominator" award.    The Ultimate Challenge Series of folkstyle wrestling was expanded to 10 nationally recognized events this year, reaching from Las Vegas, Nev. to Norfolk, Va.  This year's Championship has been given added emphasis, with each place winner earning double the points for placing in USA Wrestling's foremost youth folkstyle event.      More than 6,000 wrestlers have competed in this year's Series, yet the champions in each division will not be decided until the conclusion of the USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals.    This year's event also begins the quest for USA Wrestling's prized Triple Crown.  In its 9th year, the Triple Crown recognizes young wrestlers that accomplish the tremendous feat of winning USA Wrestling's three age-group National Championships; the Kids Folkstyle Nationals, the Kids Freestyle Nationals and the Kids Greco-Roman Nationals.    In addition to great competition, participants will be treated to a meet and greet with the legendary Dan Gable, considered the nation's most respected wrestler and coach.    Starting with this event, USA Wrestling will annually recognize all champions from each National Championship with the presentation of USA Wrestling's National Team at the conclusion of each events season.
