The Sunkist Kids want you! If you are an elite Senior-level wrestler with goals of winning Olympic and World medals, and are seeking an internationally respected training environment as well as a flexible full-time job, you may be in luck. The Sunkist Kids National Training Program is looking to place seven talented wrestlers in their new program. The athletes will work part time for Mylan Laboratories (at a full-time salary), with flexible hours for training and travel, and train under 2004 Olympic coach Zeke Jones in the outstanding facilities at the Univ. of West Virginia. Those interested should check out the following job/training posting on TheMat.com: View Job Description Jones was a World Champion and Olympic silver medalist on the mats, and recently was elected to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He is very excited about attracting the highest-quality international wrestling hopefuls from across the United States to this exciting new program. "This is a tremendous opportunity for these athletes," said Jones. "Mylan Laboratories has pledged seven jobs through the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. These wrestlers can work there, and train to win World and Olympic medals for the United States. Jones is currently working to identify athletes with the talent and desire to be a World and Olympic champions. He is seeking individuals who would be excited about a flexible job with this pharmaceutical company that provides the time off for wrestling training. And he is looking for wrestlers who would spend time training with the West Virginia athletes and contributing to the program there. "We are taking applications and resumes right now, and we have had some very talented wrestlers already express an interest," said Jones. He said that the acceptance will be done on a rolling process, until all seven jobs are filled and the athletes have committed to joining the training environment. The program will accept athletes right away who are available and qualified, but Jones' goal is to fill all the positions by this spring or summer. According to Jones, these are what the program would offer a talented international athlete: * An opportunity to focus on training * An Olympic Coach to help them reach their high goals, and quality training partners * The Sunkist Kids, one of the world's top wrestling clubs, to provide support * All of the athletic and campus resources of West Virginia University Jones said that this is a partnership between West Virginia Univ., Mylan Laboratories, USA Wrestling and the Sunkist Kids, and believes it is a winning combination. "The four organizations have partnered to create a world-class program for athletes to reach elite international success," said Jones.
