Memo to Coaches  Coaches Pool Application    USA Wrestling is seeking qualified wrestling coaches to apply for the Volunteer Coaching Pool for the 2005-2008 Olympic Quadrennium.    Members of the Coaching Pool are eligible to coach U.S. teams in international competition and are an important part of the national developmental program for the United States in all three styles of wrestling: men's freestyle, men's Greco-Roman and women's freestyle.    Coaches may apply for a position in all three styles, or may choose which styles to be considered. In addition, the coach has an opportunity to select the age level in which they would be considered, including Senior, University, Junior and Cadet.    Those applicants seeking a coaching assignment for the 2005 season must send in their Coaching Pool application and 2005 coaching pool assignment form by October 20. Applications to be included in the Coaching Pool are accepted throughout the entire quadrennium.    In order to receive a coaching assignment, a coach must  complete the National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) Bronze level certification. Exceptions are made for past National Team athletes, who must receive the certification within three years.    The application and assignment forms will be forwarded to the members of the Coach Selection Committees (CSC) for the specific style.  The CSC will make the 2005 tour assignments by early November.The assignment list will be mailed to all Volunteer Coaching Pool members. In order to be assigned to a USA Wrestling tour, a coach must be a current coaches member of USA Wrestling.  The current membership year began September 1.  Please include your current year 2004/2005 coach's membership number when you submit your assignment list.
