U.S. Olympic women’s wrestling team to appear on NBC Today Show on Weds., June 23 at 9:00 a.m. ET

The four members of the U.S. Olympic Team in women's wrestling will appear on the NBC Today Show on Wednesday morning, at approximately 9:00 a.m. ET    The team will be going into the NBC studio for the show, while in the city for a historic pre-Olympic training camp in preparation for the Athens Games.    The athletes will appear outside of the studio in Rockefeller Center during the 9:00 a.m. segment. They will be interviewed by one of the hosts and give a short wrestling demonstration for the audience.    Appearing on the show will be:  48 kg - Patricia Miranda (Colorado Springs, Colo./Dave Schultz WC)  55 kg - Tela O'Donnell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Dave Schultz WC)  63 kg - Sara McMann (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids)  72 kg - Toccara Montgomery (Cleveland, Ohio/New York AC)    The team began its training at the di Silvestri Wrestling Center on the campus of Staten Island's Monsignor Farrell High School on Tuesday, June 22. A crew from the Today Show was on hand to capture images of the women in their first-ever Olympic Training camp.    There were a number of national media at that first practice, including NBC News Channel, Reuters Television, National Public Radio, Women's Wear Daily, plus Japanese newspaper Mainichi and New York newsradio WINS.
