Injury report for Garrett Lowney

2000 Olympic bronze medalist Garrett Lowney (Freedom, Wis./Minnesota Storm), a U.S. Greco-Roman wrestler at 96 kg/211.5 lbs., did not compete in his match against Petre Metreveli of the Republic of Georgia due to injury.    Statement from Medical Coordinator Ed Ryan:  "Garrett injured his ribs and at this time it's not safe for him to participate tonight. We will re-evaluate his condition later this evening and determine his ability to compete tomorrow."    Statement from Minnesota Storm coach Dan Chandler:  "Garrett practiced with an injured rib this morning, and after discussion with the medical staff at the Titan Games, did not feel that it would be beneficial for him to compete this evening."
