Neosho County College USAW Regional Training Center 800 W. 14th St. Chanute, Kansas 66720 Phone:(620)431-2820 FAX:(620)431-0082 Email: coachfergola@hotmail.com Coaches: Richard Fergola Terry Pack Kevin Klemm Gary Mayabb Archie Randall Eric Akin USAW General Expectations for Regional Training Sites: -To Provide a safe and effective training facility to minimize risk to athletes while promoting athlete development in the sport of wrestling. -To provide quality coaching, instruction, and training sessions using only USAW NCEP certified coaches. -That all participants are current Competitor or Coach members of USAW -That an establised be be provided and adhered to at all times to ensure consistency and proper attendance of all participants. -That the training center be open to any member of USAW regardless of state affiliation, sex, color, creed, or religion. Schedule of Training Center Operations for Neosho County College: The Neosho Training Center will be open MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY. Training sessions will be from 6:30-8:00PM. Once school is out, the sessions will still remain the same through the summer up until Cadet Nationals in fargo. However, additional days maybe added at athletes and coaches request. 2003 USA Wrestling Regional Training Center @ Neosho County College April 3rd- Terry Pack, Head Coach at NCCC. Has coached 26 All-Americans and 7 National Champions at the NJCAA level at NCCC. Has coached his Panther teams to a 7th, 2nd, 6th and one national title in 4 years. April 8th- Mike Hagerty, Head Coach Blue Springs, MO. Head Coach Blue Springs High School 3rd place finish 2003 8 top ten finishes 4 top 3 finishes 1999 State Championship Team Missouri Wrestling Hall of Fame Former Head Coach @ Central Missouri State University (7 years) Coached 18 All-Americans and 2 National Champions Former Director of Coaches Education at USA Wrestling USA Wrestling Olympic Coaching Staff 2000 Head Coach of the 2002 USA Wrestling University World Team USAW Silver Coach April 10th- Gary Mayabb, Head Coach at Oak Park HS, MO. Silver Level Certified Coach for USAW. Missouri National Team Coach. 4 time All-American and the Pan-American Alternate. Coach Mayabb has been a Greco Roman World Team Coach 6 times, and will coach the Junior World Team this August. He was named Regional Coach of the Year in 1997. He was also named the 4A Coach of the Year in 2000. April 15th- Bogdan Ciufulescu, 1996 Olympian and 2x NJCAA National Champion. April 17th- Tony Purler, 2x US Open National Freestyle Champion NCAA Champion - University of Nebraska 2x Team USA World team member Goodwill Games Bronze Medalist Goodwill Games Gold Team USA World Cup Silver Medalist 4x US Open Finalist Team USA Greco-Roman team member Espoir National Champion University National Champion 2x Junior National Champion Big 8 Champion 2x All-American 9 years as Division I coach: Clarion University University of Oklahoma Oklahoma State Cowboys April 22nd- Mike Hagerty, Head Coach, Blue Springs HS, MO. Has coached multiple All-Americans at the Cadet level. May 1st- Gary Mayabb, Head Coach at Oak Park HS, MO. Silver Level Certified Coach for USAW. Former Head Coach of Huron University. Current Head Coach for Kansas Southern Plains Kids/Cadets Team. May 13th- Link Davis, Assistant Coach at Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, OK. Cadet Director for USAWOK. Oklahoma National Team Coach. Has coached several Cadet and Junior National Duals Championship teams. Coaches multiple Cadet and Junior All-Americans and National Champions. Former wrestler at the University of Central Oklahoma. More coaches will be added soon.
